This is my grandparents’ farmhouse in Indiana where I spent much of my childhood. I haven’t been to the house in years. My grandfather died in 1992. Taken in 1993, this photo is how the place looked just before my grandmother had to sell the farm. The 800 acres were parceled out, but the house itself, and the barns, were kept as one parcel. It’s barely recognizable now. I’m lucky Grandma took photos inside and out, including the orchard, so I can remember it the way it was when filled with family treasures.
